How do I book a photo session with you?
To proceed with securing your session, please complete the inquiry form located under the Contact page. Kindly note that your session will not be considered fully booked until the non-refundable retainer, completed questionnaire, and signed contract have all been received.
How long does it take to receive the final photos?
Please note that turnaround times vary depending on the type of session, the length of coverage, and the time of year. Sessions scheduled during the warmer months may experience longer turnaround times due to increased demand, while sessions during the colder months typically have shorter turnaround periods.
How early should I show up to my session?
Punctuality is important to ensure you receive the full experience. Please plan to arrive 5–10 minutes early to account for parking, traffic, or any unexpected delays. Sessions are often scheduled back-to-back, so arriving late will reduce the amount of time available for your session, as missed time cannot be made up.
Can I bring a friend or family member?
You're more than welcome to bring a friend or family member for support during your session! I just kindly ask that they allow space for me to do my job without distraction. To keep the flow smooth and consistent, I ask that any feedback or input be saved until the end of the session. This helps you stay focused, relaxed, and fully in the moment—so we can capture the very best version of you!
Can I bring my pet to photos?
Absolutely! Pets are more than welcome to join your session—they’re part of the family! Just please make sure the location we’re shooting at allows animals, and let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly. Helpful tip: bring a leash, treats, and a friend or family member to help handle your pet when they’re not in the photos.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please contact me as soon as possible if something comes up. Keep in mind your session retainer is non-refundable. Please refer to your contract for full details on my cancellation and rescheduling policy.
How far in advance should i book?
It’s recommended to book your session at least 4–8 weeks in advance, especially during peak seasons such as spring and fall. For elopements, booking 6–12 months ahead is ideal to ensure availability. Last-minute bookings may be accommodated based on schedule openings, but securing your date early guarantees the best availability and planning experience.
do you require a retainer to book a session?
To reserve your session date, a non-refundable retainer is required at the time of booking. This secures your spot on my calendar and ensures that I can dedicate that time exclusively to you.
what should i wear?
To ensure your photos look timeless and flattering, here are a few things to avoid:
Loud or busy patterns: Bold prints, logos, and graphics can be distracting and take attention away from you.
Neon or overly bright colors: These can cast unflattering tones on your skin and may not photograph well.
Clothing with large logos or text: These can date your images and pull focus.
Baggy or ill-fitting clothing: Choose outfits that complement your shape and allow for natural movement.
Matching exactly (for group sessions): Instead, aim for coordinating colors and complementary tones.
Wrinkled or unprepared outfits: Make sure everything is clean, pressed, and photo-ready.
Neutral tones, layers, and textured fabrics often photograph beautifully. If you’re unsure, I’m happy to help you style or review outfit options before your session!
